The hotel, the staff and the location are all simply wonderful. An absolute haven of unspoilt tranquility. There’s an old show on television called Paradise Island. Also the excusions service are something that need improvement, the tours are well organized and the lunch service is quite nice but the itinerary seems to be subject to last minutes changes so I would recommend to discuss and point out every single place you wish to see otherwise you might end up missing out on some of the sights. We had a lizard problem as I mentioned and despite two request the droppings were never cleaned out. One negative that I would not have expected from a six senses resort is the housekeeping service. The service at the spa is great with the therapist being very dedicated. The Spa is quite incredible as it seems to blend in with nature with treatment cabines individually built along a pathway in the jungle. The food at all three restaurants is quite good, the one called the Dinning Room being the most exceptional and the Hilltop having the best views. They have pest control service so they can deal with it although in our case it took more than one attempt to get rid of the lizard. One thing to consider- those traditional bungalow are not built to completely block out the wildlife, so expect mosquitos and lizards to sneak in your villa. The setting is impressive and the quality and attention of the personnel is exceptionnel. This Six senses resort has a very unique signature with traditional style bungalows build upon the hill. The spa is almost as well known as the view, famous for signature Thai massages, in a lovely longhouse building, in your own villa or on the beach under the light of the moon. This Six senses resort has a very unique signature with traditional style bungalows build upon the hill. As the name suggests, the Hilltop Reserve is the highest of them all, available for exclusive meals and an almost exclusive, certainly exquisite, view of the bay. The beachside Living Room is a daylong delight with big breakfast buffets to small plate snacks and Thai specials such as spicy chicken in young coconut soup with galangal and lime. A waterfall forms centre spot and a creek runs under the glass floor of The Dining Room, where sophisticated Med-style dishes dominate. And, there are some wonderful restaurants, too. Every sort of water sport is on offer, as are fishing trips, boat and bicycle tours, hiking and climbing, cookery classes and even wine tastings.ĭining is a huge part of the pleasure, with everything from barbeques to champagne breakfasts just a butler request away. It’s the main infinity pool, however, that has perhaps the most stunning view of all, and is a gorgeous spot to while away a sunny hour or two, although there’s so much more to do here. Outside showers, in addition to the en suite, make the most of the surroundings, as do the sitting rooms that open onto teak terraces and wonderful ocean views. Inside, all is airy, with fine local fabric furnishings, and teak and mango wood incorporated into the sleek design under roofs woven from palm fronds. There are just 56 of them, and each enjoys a private pool, spacious decks for lounging and private dining, and butler service. The hillside villas on this island resort are designed to make the most of panoramic views of tropical gardens and a glorious bay interspersed with limestone karsts. The Six Senses Yao Noi sits in a postcard perfect and somewhat surreal setting.
